Hi, I’m Katie.
As a psychotherapist with over ten years experience, I have successfully helped my clients navigate the complexities of identity, ambition, and family life. My work is rooted in the belief that while the world around us is often chaotic, our internal world can be a place of confidence and clarity.
My philosophy is simple: I am an expert on mental health, and you are the expert on you. Together, we will get you where you want to go.

Modality & Application
Integrative & Holistic
Therapy can be as unique as the person sitting across from me. Rather than following a rigid script, I use an integrative approach that blends different types of therapy based on what you want to achieve. We will work together to find the right balance of techniques that resonate with you, ensuring you feel supported, heard, and empowered to reach your personal goals.
Individual Therapy
I view therapy as a mirror, and you should be able to trust what is reflected back to you, both that the reflection is accurate and that you feel comfortable using that reflection to make necessary changes in your actions, your opinions of yourself, or your environment. I strive to balance a gentle, nurturing reflection with honesty and respect in all conversations so that tough work can happen in a safe way.
Couples Therapy
I help couples to foster deeper understanding and lasting change using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Together we focus on breaking cycles, aligning expectations, and deepening intimacy to build a partnership that both partners can trust, lean into, and grow with.
Therapeutic Alliance
I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). However, I find that these highly structured treatments can sometimes flatten the depth and nuance in the room. A strong therapeutic alliance is the single greatest predictor of positive clinical outcomes, so I intentionally integrate relational, psychodynamic, narrative, and somatic approaches to create a more warm and connected experience.
More About Working With Me
-
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from DePaul University.
-
My clinical background is in private practice, where I have worked with individuals and couples. My career began in early childhood development, and I have proudly grown that interest into work with parents.
With a previous career in the corporate sector, I understand the unique pressures of ambition and perfectionism. I offer a blend of clinical depth and practical strategy for clients facing high-stakes moments and uncertain paths.
-
My office is conveniently located in Union Square, Manhattan. For those unable to meet in person, I also provide secure virtual sessions via Simple Practice software.
Weather permitting, I offer "walk-and-talk" sessions near or around Prospect Park in Brooklyn.
-
I maintain a science-forward practice. My approach integrates evidence-based modalities and the most current research, ensuring that our work is not just supportive, but effective.
-
I strive to be the therapist I’d want to see: friendly, interested, and clear.
Personally, I prefer when the conversation feels natural and collaborative. I’ve found that the best work happens when the fit is mutual, when you feel at home with my style, and I feel we can exchange the kind of candid insight that leads to real growth.
